Modern split system air conditioning units are heat pumps — they work in both directions. In summer they extract heat from your room and expel it outside, keeping you cool. In winter they reverse the process, pulling heat energy from the outside air and delivering it into your home.
This means one installation handles both cooling and heating — and because heat pumps move heat rather than generate it, they're significantly cheaper to run than electric radiators or panel heaters.
R32 refrigerant — the energy-efficient standard
All systems we install use R32 refrigerant — the current industry standard for new residential split systems in the UK. R32 is significantly better for the environment and for energy efficiency than the older R410A refrigerant it replaces.
68% lower Global Warming Potential
R32 has a GWP of 675 — versus 2,088 for R410A. It has a significantly smaller environmental footprint per kg of refrigerant.
Up to 30% less refrigerant required
R32's superior thermodynamic properties mean systems need less refrigerant to achieve the same performance — reducing charge weight and material use.
Higher energy efficiency ratings
R32 systems achieve higher SEER (cooling) and SCOP (heating) ratings than comparable R410A units — lower running costs, year after year.
Easier to recycle
As a single-component refrigerant, R32 can be recovered and recycled more efficiently than blended refrigerants like R410A.
Fully F-Gas compliant
R32 is compliant with current UK F-Gas regulations and aligns with the ongoing phase-down of high-GWP refrigerants.

The units we install come with manufacturer warranty of up to 10 years on the compressor when registered with the manufacturer. We handle the warranty registration as part of your installation — giving you long-term peace of mind as standard.
